The Nordic Diabetic Foot Task force
The Nordic Diabetic Foot Task force is a network bringing together national and international wound care clinicians of multidisciplinary backgrounds in a unique collaboration to promote systematic implementation of diabetic foot guidelines in the Nordic countries.
The task force aim to initiate and support various activities at the national level that can improve the implementation of recommended guidelines and actual clinical practice.
Formal formation of the Nordic Diabetic Foot Task Force took place during the first steering group meeting February 14 2014 in Copenhagen.
At this first meeting plans with regards to establishment and recruitment of members for national working groups was made and put into effect.
Organisation
The Steering Committee of the Nordic Diabetic Foot Task Force will undertake the overall strategic planning and prioritisation for the Nordic Diabetic Foot Task Force.
The biennial Nordic Diabetic Foot Symposium will be a forum for sharing knowledge about best practices and thus aid in promoting the implementation of guidelines. The symposium will thus provide an important tool for achieving the main objective of the Nordic Diabetic Foot Task Force.
